本人当初预约故意约6。18日，讨个吉利。
进入美国总领事馆，交了材料，领到号码108，心中窃喜，数字也很吉利。

Me: Good Morning Madam.
VO: Nice to meet you
VO: Are you studying at Fudan?


Me: Definitely not
VO惊奇的抬头看我
Me: I am a faculty member in Physics Department at Fudan, and I instruct
"General Physics" for non-physics major undergraduate.
VO //smile
VO: what kind of faculty? lecturer, assistant professor, or professor.
Me: Lecturer. When I graduated as a master student last July, I became
a lecturer.
VO: ok, why do you want to study for a Ph. D.?
Me: To understand the mechanism and phyisical character of complex fluid
further. I have done experiments in this specialty for over a year, and
I found that a solid theoretical academic background is essential for
researchers.
VO: would you like to explain what is complex fluid?
Me: complex fluid is a kind of condensed matter, include liquid crystal,
rheological matter, biological fluid etc.
VO: how can these fluid be used?
Me: shock absorber, vacuum valve
VO: give me one more example.
Me: force transmit devices.
VO: oh, good. What do you plan to do after you obtain you Ph.D?
Me: I have two kinds of plan, one is traditional, one is modern.


VO: oh?
Me: Yes, the first one, I plan to find a position in a research institution
 
or an OUTSTANDING CHINESE university.
VO: for example?
Me: Chinese Academy of Science, or Famous University, which has a strong
liquid research group, such as Fudan, Jiaotong or Tsinghua.
VO: how about the modern one?
Me: With a good understanding of liquid physics, I can play a role as
Technology Consultant, or further more, Chief Technology Officer.//打断
VO: Why must you come back to China?
Me: I go to USA to study theoretical condensed matter physics. Complex
Fluid Group in UCSD is quite outstanding. Nowadays, the achievement in
physics is made from the colaboration between experimental and theoretical
 
physists. There are quite good experiement condition in China, such as
CAS and Fudan, but you hardly find some theoretist who lies his interests
 
in complex fluid....//打断

Me: Pardon?
